Calvary Baptist Church is an English-speaking Independent Fundamental Baptist Church located on the southside of Motta Sant'Anastasia ministering to the U.S. Military, the support community at NAS Sigonella, and the English-speaking people in our area.
For those unfamiliar with Independent Baptists, there are more than 15,000 Independent Baptist Churches in America and at least 10,000 Independent Baptist Missionaries serving on mission fields worldwide. Our church is pastored by one of these.
Following Biblical principles, an Independent Baptist Church is autonomous; meaning we are self-governing and self-supporting and do not fall under an outside organization, association, or convention.
The head of the church is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice. We believe as a Baptist, we are to be Biblicist. It is our desire to follow the pattern provided in scripture and operate as a local New Testament Church.
